Congratulations ! Andrew & Antonia on your June 12th 2011 wedding. “May you always feel as close as you do this day. May your lives be graced with good health. May you always find happiness in your home, and may it be a refuge from the storms of life. May your love grow ever stronger as you share your lives together, and may your future be even more wonderful than you dreamed possible.” I would like to share a story with my blog readers of a very special bride. I recently had the opportunity to meet. This bride had the same dreams as many other brides for her special wedding day to be magical. See this bride is million miles away from me, however seemed so close. Antonia & Andrew are from Trinidad and Tobago West Indies. I was humbled to have the opportunity to speak with a bride that values the tradition of the Unity Candle during the ceremony. I’m a very traditional wedding planner and sadly in the past few years in the U.S. this tradition has been left out of alot of ceremonies. For the brides that do not understand what the Unity Candle signifies, It’s when two lives join as one and the light will help guide them threw life together as one. I had asked Antonia if she would send me some pictures of their wedding and as you can imagine when I received her pictures I was so excited when I opened them. Antonia was one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen. Antonia’s wedding color was Royal Blue & White. I found that to be ironic as that is the most popular color in the U.S. this year for many brides. Antonia decorated her Unity Candle with Royal Blue Rose Petals and Fern. Her Ilse was also lined with royal blue petals. I would like to share with my readers the pictures and comments I had received from Antonia.
”When the Unity Candle arrived, it was breath-taking, more beautiful than the picture. It was engraved in gold. At the reception, (we changed things a bit) it was the center of attraction”. and all my guests wanted to know where I bought it…. certainly not in Trinidad !
Kim to you and your staff thank you for allowing the most important day of my life to be more beautiful and memorable in so many ways.
I hope all my readers enjoy these pictures as much as I have.
”God Bless You” Antonia & Andrew
Antonia it has been a pleasure to be a part of one of the most important days of your life. I have been blessed to have made a new friend with such a kind heart !
